What are Japanese blinds?
Japanese blinds have a unique design, which consists of fabric panels, mounted on the track with adhesive tape, base and filling weight. Tracks for such blinds can have from two to five channels (tracks) for moving the canvases. Due to this, several identical or different fabrics with different texture and color can be hung on one panel. The canvases on the Japanese blinds are flat and stretched by weights attached below.

Curtain tracks for panel blinds are made of durable alumium alloy. Panels can move in one direction, for example, from the left to the right, or from the center to the edges and back. When closing the blinds, a technical overlap of 5 centimeters is provided between them in order to completely close the room from the light.

A soft velcro is sewn onto each panel, and the tracks have a rigid one. Thus, the individual elements can be easily and securely fastened to each other. The blinds can be closed and opened manually or using the control panel. To prevent stretching and deformation of the fabric during manual operation, the design is supplemented with a cord or stick that is attached to the track.

Possible design options:
  • separate canvases are connected, therefore, the rest segments will follow the first segment
  • each panel can be moved separately
You can clean the curtain with a steamer or soap solution. It should be taken into consideration, which materials were used for its manufacture. Cloths for Japanese blinds are made from synthetic and natural fabrics of various structures and colors, including blackout, screen, and others.

The maximum length of the track for Japanese curtains is 4.5 m. The design is mounted to the ceiling or, to the wall (with the help of additional brackets). The possible number of canvases on the track cab vary from 2 to 10. The shape of the curtains is fixed and held by the guide bars on top and weighting bars from the bottom.
